Varian Gemini 300

The Gemini-300 is a dedicated 1H/13C NMR spectrometer operating at 300 MHz for 1H and 75 MHz for 13C. The Gemini-300 is equipped with a Sun Sparc5 host computer and has the rapid acquisition of basic 1H and 13C spectra (1D, simple noe, cosy, dqf-cosy, noesy, apt, dept, hetcor, etc.). Any member of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department can be successfully trained to use this instrument in less than 2 hrs. Ready access to this instrument prevents waits for basic NMR analysis and subsequent disruption of daily research. The instrument is linked to four Silicon Graphics workstations, which can be used for off-line processing of NMR spectra and molecular modelling
